About the Department

The Library of the Myanmar Maritime University was established in 2002.It is located in the main building.

Aims and Objectives

To Support academic teaching.
To keep the reference books and journals relating to maritime fields and engineering technologies.
To improve the respective fields and other knowledge for both staff and students.

Quality Objectives

To maintain student pass percentage above 90% for each academic year.

Collection

It is a reference center for all teaching and administrative and students as it stores over 12000 volumes and reference books,journals relating to maritime and allied nautical science, other subjects, newspapers, magazines weekly journals and others.

Membership

Staff from academic and adaministrative and students are permitted to use and borrow materials from library with member card.Member fee is Ks.500 for per years.

Circulation and Facilities of Library

MMU Library lending and reference services such as electronic document delivery service and electronic circulation system are provided to approximately over 2000 users everyyear with acore staff of six between 9: 00 am and 16:00 pm hours on weekdays.

Reference books and thesis papers are not permitted to borrow for two weeks or one month.Students can borrow only two books per one time teachers can five books per one time.

You can search author's name, title of book and subject name in catalogue card.Moreover you can also search by using computer.

You can download in the library and search by using your mobile phone or laptop.

Reading newspapers, journals and magazines

Students can read daily newspapers,journals with their identity cards or library member cards in the library.
