About the Department
Port Management Department was launched in 2002-2003 academic year. The Post Graduate Diploma in Port Management program of Port Management Department was started from 2006-2007 academic year. The first batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Port Management students have been graduated in 2009 February.
All subjects provided by the Department are mainly intended to meet the requirements for knowledge, understanding and proficiency for the field of maritime and port industry. The Department offers the Post Graduate Diploma in Port Management program after one year.
Port Management Department opens the doors of opportunities to all students who are enthusiastic in maritime and port industries. We hope to fulfill the deficiency of maritime and port industrial experts by our qualified Diploma in Port Management students. Welcome to Port Management Department!!
Aims and Objectives
This study program aims to produce the skillful students who will also be develop professionally in port administration, port and harbor management and port operation for the global maritime supply chain.
Quality Objectives
- To maintain class attendance at least 75% for every classes lectured by PM Department.
- To sustain exam passing rate at least 90% in every academic year.
- To upgrade the quality of teaching staff by sending at least one staff to short - term courses or seminars

In the second semester, the students will have to make project or term paper for their course. Student will be sent to port, shipping and logistics industries or any company that requires shipping and logistics management skills.
